Sept 10 Next Club Meeting at Scotts Flat Lake

General meeting (Dinner at 6, General meeting at 7 p.m.) Bring food for yourself and something to share.
GUEST SPEAKER: Viktor Rzesanke...who was recently sailing off the North Coast ....And lived to tell about it.

Sept 14 “All Sail Day” at Scotts Flat Lake

11am to 4pm - Come sail the Club’s fleet (or your own boat) with other members! Guaranteed assistance getting the boats to and from the dock. Bring a guest, bring some food, BYOB - the Club Paviliion will be ours for the day so we can make this LAST sailing event of the summer a fun one!

Sept 14 Club Cruise at Scotts Flat Lake

3pm to 5pm - This is a group cruise on the Club pontoon boat to wind down the day.
Subject to operational status of the Pontoon Boat.

Welcome to the
Gold Country Yacht Club

Home to Scotts Flat Lake in Northern California, your home port for sailing in the Sierra Nevada Gold Country. The lake lies in a valley along Deer Creek a few miles above historic Nevada City, CA. Our clubhouse is conveniently located by the launch ramp on the lake's Northern shoreline.

Cruising, racing, and relaxing

Enjoy sailing and club racing on the clear sparkling water in fresh Sierra breezes or anchoring for a picnic with good friends in a peaceful cove surrounded by forested hills and radiant blue skies.

Join the Club!

Join this fun group of sailing enthusiasts! You’ll enjoy spending time with people of all ages through sailing events, an annual regatta, and social gatherings.

Gold Country Yacht Club membership is open to all, with or without boats.

Many members maintain their own boats on Scotts Flat Lake, but the club has a fleet of sailing dinghies available to all members.
